WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Can you tell me which day of each month of 2007 was the full moon: Jan, Feb, Mar,April, May, June, July, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec.
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Looking the Wake Doppler 5000 loop for tonight (Tuesday) around 8:00 pm, do I see two outflow boundaries south of the TS cell, one oriented NW-SE moving south and another oriented SW-NE moving SE? I've never seen two outflow boundaries converge like that.
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Does WRAL and Channel "11" use the same Doppler Radar Stations?
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : I've just returned from a vacation at Duck, NC, on the Outer Banks. The ocean water felt icy to me, so I looked up the surf temperature on a local web site and discovered it was 64 degrees. By contrast, it was in the 70s a little closer to Nags Head and in the 80s at Emerald Isle. Virginia Beach's water temp was listed as 72 degrees. We looked up ocean currents online, but none of what we found seemed to explain why the water was so much colder at the Duck/Corolla area. Do you know the answer? The owner of the cottage we rented said this was unusual. Thanks!
