Raleigh Raises Fines for Illegal Parking

The Raleigh City Council on Tuesday raised the fines for parking illegally in the city.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh City Council on Tuesday raised the fines for parking illegally in the city.

Council members approved an ordinance that increases parking ticket fines from $12 to $15.

The fine for parking illegally in certain safety zones increased from $20 to $25.

The city's current budget anticipated the increase.
