Weather

WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : This might be a crazy question but I want to know. I hear Greg and Mike talking about pressure 29. somthing is on the rise, What does this mean? Thank You!!!
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : When you show the graph of lightning strikes, What does the positive and negitive strike percentage mean?
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : I've seen that the other local tv station also has a new radar. What is the difference between the DUALDoppler and theirs?
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Today on the front page of the N&O it was reported that we need two feet of rain to return to normal and break our drought. However on the weather page under check the gauges, we have had 24 inches of precip so far this year and normal year to date is 31.46 inches. Can you explain this? I'd think if we got seven inces plus whatever we normally get over the next couple of weeks (I'd guess ten inches total would break the drought). I already have over an inch of rain at my house today, of course the media will all say this does nothing to help the drought. If rain doesn't help, what does? This is a pet peeve of mine by the way. Its almost as if it might as well not rain at all if we can't make up the entire deficit in one day.
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Thank you so much for staying with us last night a full hour longer than any other stations while the weather situation was so tenuous. My husband and I have a weather alert radio, but seeing and hearing constant information was so helpful in preparing as well as possible for what might come. We live in a development off Guy Road close to the activity happening at the Clayton Middle School and off Hwy 42. Your ongoing weather reporting helped alleviate worries for what might come during the night. Again, THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU!!
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : I don't have a rain gauge and I am very curious if you can use the radar to tell us how much it rained North of Fuquay Varina on 401 at the corner of Dwight Rowland and Ken Drive? This is greatly appreciated.
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Despite the 77 90 degree days we have had this summer, overall, will the summer of 2007 go down as the hottest summer on record? I know July was the hottest on record. Could you provide me with some stats please?
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Can you tell me the average humidity in Raleigh from June-August 2007?
