PITTSBORO, N.C. — Due to renovations and related safety issues, Chatham County must close the Dunlap Building in Pittsboro at 2 p.m. Friday, officials announced.
Public and county staff must vacate the building no later than 2 p.m.
Several county departments will be affected by the closing and will not be open for business after 2 p.m. Friday, including the Planning Department, Health Department (includes the Pittsboro clinic), Environmental Health (includes offices related to wells and septic systems as well as sedimentation and soil erosion), and Central Permitting (includes all permit applications, fire marshal and building inspections).
