LaMelo Ball to miss remainder of 2023-24 season with ankle injury

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season with an ankle injury, the team announced Thursday.
Ball, 22, is continuing his rehab from his right ankle injury.
Ball hasn't played since Jan. 27.
In the 2023-24 season, Ball averaged a career-high 23.9 points per game. He played in 22 games this season.
Ball is under contract through the 2028-29 season.
In the past two seasons, Ball's ankle injuries have limited him to 58 games.
The Hornets (18-54) are missing the playoffs for the eighth straight season.
