Former Panthers LB Frankie Luvu signs 3-year deal with Commanders

Linebacker Frankie Luvu has agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $36 million with the Washington Commanders, agent Blake Baratz told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Luvu will try to help solidify a defense led by new Commanders head coach Dan Quinn.
Luvu has played the last three seasons for the Carolina Panthers. He played from 2018-2020 for the New York Jets.
In the 2023 season, Luvu was the Panthers' leading tackler with 125 total tackles. He also had 10 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and five pass deflections this past season.
