The NC State women’s basketball team is moving on after a 77-67 win against Stanford on Friday night in the NCAA Tournament in Portland.

NC State (29-7) got 29 points from junior guard Aziaha James. Two other Wolfpack players scored in double figures: Saniya Rivres (13 points) and Zoe Brooks (12 points).

Kiki Iriafen scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Stanford.

On Sunday, the Wolfpack will play No. 1 seed Texas in the Elite Eight.

It marks NC State's third time in program history earning an Elite Eight berth and its second time doing so in the last three seasons.

On Friday, the Wolfpack used a strong third quarter to gain control, outscoring the Cardinal 28-10 during that stretch.
