Wolfpack men, women both in Sweet 16 play Friday night

Posted — UpdatedThe Easter bunny brought an early treat for fans of North Carolina State University basketball. Both men's and women's basketball teams are in the Sweet 16 of their respective NCAA Tournaments, and both play at the same time on Friday night.
Their game against Marquette is set to tip at 7:09 p.m. in Dallas, and it will air on CBS.
The NC State women (29-6) are the No. 3 seed and face No. 2 Stanford in the Portland 4 region, where chalk has held.
In the other Sweet 16 game, No. 1 seed Texas faces No. 4 Gonzaga. The winner of that game awaits the Pack should they pull it out on Friday.
After wins at home in the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament, the Wolfpack women travel to the west coast. Oregon State University is the host of the Portland regional.
The women's games are broadcast by ESPN, and State vs. Stanford is set for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
