Seven athletes made it in two different events this year: Rolesville's Joslyn Hamilton, Cummings' D'Anna Cotton, Cuthbertson's Charlotte Bell and Justine Preisano, Garner's Kori Randle, Myers Park's Mary Bonner Dalton, and Providence Day's Nia Poole.

Highlights: Parkins' big night helps guide McDowell to conference tournament title game

Rylan Parkins scored 33 to help advance the Titans past Asheville and to Friday's championship where they will face A.C. Reynolds. The victory also secured the team the top seed out of the conference in next week's state playoffs.

Highlights: Big first half advances McDowell girls to MAC tournament championship

McDowell's girls scored 41 first half points in the MAC semi-final win over Asheville. Kensly Stewart scored 15 while Clara McCartha and Khloe Joyner added 14 each. The Titans will play the winner of A.C. Reynolds vs Erwin on Friday for the championship.
