RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are searching for a man charged for his connection to a hotel shooting that killed two people on Friday. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The search started around 3 a.m. Sunday when police in Raleigh attempted to stop a car on Interstate-540. A police chase ensued when the driver of the car, headed for Durham, did not stop.

Officials in Durham said the car chase involves a homicide suspect from a shooting in Raleigh that killed April Lynn Holland, 22, and Dwayne Garvey, 28, near Crabtree Valley Mall on Friday. The incident occurred at 5 a.m. at Americas Best Value Inn Crabtree in the 3900 block of Arrow Drive.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who has been identified as 29-year-old Brandon Xavier Hill. Hill has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Garvey.

Police said Hill, who fled the car on foot, is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who believes they know of Hill's present whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

A woman was also arrested after Sunday's car chase, officials said. Brittany Kenzell Hooks, 27, was driving the car, and she has been charged with felony speeding to elude.

28-year-old Seaga Edward Gillard was arrested Saturday for his connection to the hotel shooting. Gillard was charged with one count of murder in connection to the death of Holland. He is in jail without bond.
