Police arrest suspect in fatal Raleigh hotel shooting

Raleigh police said two people were killed in a shooting Friday morning at a hotel near Crabtree Valley Mall.

Police arrested 28-year-old Seaga Edward Gillard Saturday in connection to the fatal shooting at a hotel near Crabtree Valley Mall.

The victims were identified as April Lynn Holland, 22, and Dwayne Garvey, 28.

Gillard was charged with one count of murder in connection to the death of Holland. He is being taken to the Wake County Detention Center.

The incident occurred at 5 a.m. at Americas Best Value Inn Crabtree in the 3900 block of Arrow Drive in Raleigh.
