For the first time in 33 years. Duke beats an A P top 10 team upsetting number nine, Clemson 28 to 7 student section fans alike storming the field here at Wallace Wade Stadium Pat. It also comes on the night when Steve Spurrier himself, the last head coach to lead Duke to a ranked win along with some of his former players from that 1989. 0 boy, they were in the house history is obviously going to show this is a massive upset which it is. But if you watch the game, there's nothing lucky or flukey about it, Duke actually lost the turnover battle in the first half. But at half time, Mike Alco told the team, if they just execute, they can win. People have a really hard time understanding that a group of kids can really come together and work extremely hard and change who they are and change what they're all about. And that's what these kids have done for the whole fans and all the fan base to support us storm the field. I mean, it's something we've never experienced before as players Riley said, God is good and so is our defense and we spoke to a defensive lineman, Dwayne Carter. Boy, he's been here a long time. He said it was worth the wait. But, you know, they're not happy because they prove people wrong. They're happy that they proved themselves right. I kind of thought Mike Eco might challenge us to believe like Dion Sanders did over the weekend. But he moved right past that question. I asked him seem like a guy that was ready to get out of there. He's two days behind, has to prepare for Lafayette on Saturday for Casey Hanes. I'm Paul Welter back to you guys. I mean, oh man, who saw this coming? But diehard Duke fan, I know, I know they were. And today they're saying I told you so I told you so. And you know, coach Elco is in his second season as head coach and he really brought a new culture of winning to that program and, and only a second season had a really successful first season. So all of us should have known better than coach knows something. We don't know that his Blue Devils were ready to take on number nine clips and they proved it on the field and we'll see if they can prove it again on Saturday and I'm sure they will because, you know, as Pat said, they weren't that looking that good in the first half, but they got it together. Made some good to go. Yes.
