Former Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn agrees to one-year deal with Commanders

Former Carolina Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn has agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $5.1 million with the Washington Commanders, the Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz reported.
According to Schultz, Chinn had multiple offers, but wanted to join new Commanders head coach Dan Quinn's defense due ot the success he had as defensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys.
No deals can be made official until the league year starts on Wednesday.
Chinn is due to join his Panthers teammate Frankie Luvu in Washington. Luvu agreed to a three-year contract with the Commanders on Monday.
In four seasons with the Panthers, Chinn had 324 tackles, four sacks, 12 tackles for a loss, three foced fubmles, three fumble recoveries, 17 pass deflections, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
