Durham, N.C. — If you're vaccinated, you'll no longer need to wear a mask at Durham Bulls games starting on Tuesday.
Since the home opener on May 11, fans have been wearing masks inside the stadium because of Minor League Baseball rules. Durham Bulls Athletic Park will also open to full capacity on Tuesday, providing for a more authentic ballpark experience.
About 2,800 fans attended the first home game. Capacity is 10,000.
Pod-style seating is still available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The DBAP is still aiming to go as contactless as possible throughout the season with all-digital tickets and cashless transactions.
Non-vaccinated fans are still expected to wear masks.
The Bulls open a 12-game home stand on Tuesday with the Norfolk Tides and Charlotte Knights coming to town. Tickets are still available.
Segra Stadium, home of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, will also open at 100 percent capacity Tuesday with masks not required for vaccinated fans.
The Carolina Hurricanes are recommending masks for fans and requiring masks for employees at PNC Arena during the team's playoff games.
