Durham, N.C. — A familiar face was seen on Tuesday night along the sidelines of Cameron Indoor Stadium.
For the first time since retiring last year, former Duke Blue Devils men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski attended his first home game.
Krzyzewski was seen seated next to his wife Mickie ahead of Duke's home game against Notre Dame.
Coach K attended the game to honor his former assistant coach Mike Brey, who is stepping away as Notre Dame's head coach after the season. However, Brey told Stadium basketball analyst Jeff Goodman that he's "definitely not done coaching."
From 1987-1995, Brey was an assistant coach at Duke.
Krzyzewski told WRAL News in January that he has not attended home games at Cameron Indoor Stadium so he wouldn't be a distraction during Jon Scheyer's first season.
Tuesday marked the first time Krzyzewski attended a Duke men's basketball home game since the Blue Devils lost to rival North Carolina on March 5, 2022. It marked Krzyzewski's final time coaching at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Krzyzewski coached 42 seasons at Duke, compiling a 1,129-309 record and winning five national championships as the Blue Devils head coach.
Duke enters Tuesday night's game with a 17-8 record (8-6 ACC).
