RALEIGH, N.C.As I wrote last month, Raleigh Little Theatre will stage its first live show since March, starting this weekend. The show is designed for families, and the theater has added a couple of free family workshops to its plans.

"Balloonacy" is a one-man show with no dialogue that relies on physical comedy, pantomime and props. It's best for kids and their parents, but all ages are welcome.

After the 10:30 a.m., Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, shows, the community theater will offer a balloon-themed family story drama workshop. The 30-minute session includes the reading of a balloon-themed story, followed by some activities that families can do to bring the story to life. It's free for ticketholders and best for ages 3 to 7 and their families.

"Balloonacy" will take place at Raleigh Little Theatre's outdoor amphitheater. Tickets are limited to 100 people per show. Families will be seated in their own areas, socially distanced from other groups. Mask are required whenever you're outside your designated area.

Multiple showtimes are planned this weekend and next weekend. Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for kids ages 12 and under. All performances are sensory friendly.

More information, including a guide with pointers for those attending, is on Raleigh Little Theatre's website.
