DURHAM, N.C. — Globally-inspired desserts and Latin dishes are the newest addition to the rotating pop-up space at the American Tobacco Campus.
Soul Cocina and Chocolatay Confections will move into the street-level location at 359 Blackwell St. next week.

Soul Cocina, founded in 2015 by a Colombia native, focuses on creating vegan, local and gluten-free Latin American dishes like tamales and pasteles de yuca.

Chocolatay Confections, created by a Chapel Hill couple, draws inspiration from the other side of the globe, crafting European-style treats like bonbon bars, brittles, pralines and caramels by hand.

Both businesses will serve customers Mondays through Fridays, Feb. 7-22, during the "lunch rush" from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

PopUp @ American Tobacco Campus, which launched last July, is an initiative meant to expose American Tobacco patrons to different shops and businesses in one setting. SoulFresh Spring Rolls, coffee roaster Caballo Rojo, East Durham Bake Shop and furniture shop MicMag by Me, among others, have already occupied the street-level, 1,483 sq. ft. space located at 359 Blackwell St.
