Birdies Fore Books: Play mini golf this weekend at Chapel Hill's library

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Here's a fun way to spend an hour or two this weekend!

The Chapel Hill Public Library Foundation is setting up a mini golf course to raise money for the library system. Birdies Fore Books runs Friday, Oct. 4, with an adults-only party, and Saturday, Oct. 5, with fun for the whole family, at the library.

Tickets for Friday evening's event are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. It's for ages 21 and up. Tickets include unlimited rounds of mini golf, beer, wine and appetizers.

Then, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, the family-friendly event includes mini golf, popcorn and lemonade. (Hot dogs will be for sale.) Tickets for Saturday's event are $5 for ages 5 to 12, $8 for those 13 and up and $30 for a family pack. Kids under 5 are free.
