RALEIGH, N.C. — A portion of Oberlin Road between Craig Street and Fairview Road will close for the next four months.

The closure, which begins Monday at 7 a.m., between the 1600 and 1800 blocks of Oberlin Road, is part of a water improvement project.

The $4 million dollar job will replace a pipeline to strengthen the system and improve water flow.

A detour will direct drivers to use side roads like Fairview Road, Craig Street and Saint Mary’s Street to avoid the construction and re-access the other side of Oberlin:

Motorists traveling northbound on Oberlin Road will take a right on Craig Street, left on St. Mary’s Street, left on Fairview Road, and back onto Oberlin Road.

Motorists traveling southbound on Oberlin Road will take a left on Fairview Road, take a right on St. Mary’s Street, take a right on Craig Street, and back onto Oberlin Road.
