Registration for Miracle League of the Triangle opens
The baseball league is designed for individuals with special needs.
Posted — UpdatedRegistration is open for the 20th season of the Miracle League of the Triangle, a baseball league designed for kids and adults with special needs.
I featured Benjy Capps, the league's executive director, back in June. He first got involved in the program a decade ago when his son began playing. This is a wonderful program for kids, who might not otherwise get to be involved in a sport like this, to play ball and be part of a team.
Games are non-competitive and last about an hour. Teams are divided by age and grade levels and are never bigger than 15 players. During the game, coaches and buddies work one-on-one with the players. Miracle League of the Triangle's website has more information and registration details.
