"OPQRS, etc." runs at Raleigh Little Theatre March 14 to March 30

Raleigh Little Theatre has a busy spring for family audiences on its schedule.

It's youth series features "OPQRS, etc." starting this week. In April, it opens "Pinocchio."

"OPQRS, etc.," is Madge Miller's original fable based on the fallacy that one color is superior to another, according to a press release. "Even the alphabet suffers in Ottoville, ruled by a ridiculous dictator, Otto the Official," it continues. "He decrees that orange is the only acceptable hue. It takes the arrival of an artist, loving all the tints of the rainbow, to paint Otto in his true colors!"

The show runs March 14 to March 30. Tickets are $13 for adults and $9 for kids age 12 and under. Click here for details and tickets.
As part of the show, RLT is running a "Orange is the New Orange" photo competition. To enter, dress from head to toe in orange and then submit a picture of yourself via Twitter or Facebook. Click here for the official rules and contest. The winner will get a Youth Series Membership for the 2014-15 season, which includes tickets to Mirandy and Brother Wind, The Velveteen Rabbit and Sleeping Beauty.
Next up is "Pinoccho," which opens April 18. Tickets are available now.

I'm hoping to catch many of these with my own kids. We've really enjoyed the Raleigh theater's productions.
