Training for Baby: Swimsuit shopping
My husband and I have an anniversary trip planned to Miami this summer. The impending beach trip means I have to go swimsuit shopping.

The mere idea of trying on a swimsuit sent me into a tailspin last year. When you are feeling fat, the last thing you want to do is wear less clothing! I liked the idea of covering up as much as possible.
But things are a little better this year.
I am 23 pounds down – down to my wedding weight – and toned. I am starting to feel better about the idea of wearing a swimsuit, but I still have problem areas that I want to hide. What woman doesn’t?
So, how do you deal with the dreaded swimsuit shopping trip?
Spanx, which has a great line of body-shaping undergarments, also makes swimsuits. They also make cover-ups. I tried on a few of their suits last year and can tell you they are pricey, but they do help you look slimmer. Department stores offer body-slimming swimsuits as well for a little less than Spanx.
I tried on a few swimsuits I wore on our honeymoon and they actually fit! So, I will probably just need to buy maybe one more suit.
How do you handle swimsuit season? Do you feel comfortable enough to rock a bikini even if your stomach isn’t as flat as a supermodel?
