MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Breeze Airways on Tuesday will move from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, a sign of fast growth seen in recent years at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
RDU is updating signs to inform passengers that Breeze is now operating out of Terminal 1, where the airline will be stationed for bag checks next to Avelo and Spirit.

If someone goes to the wrong terminal, it's an easy fix.

According to the airport, "Breeze passengers who go to Terminal 2 can cross back through the parking deck to reach Terminal 1, a less than five-minute walk."

The move is being made to maximize gate space in both terminals, accommodate the airlines’ needs and to prepare for continued growth, according to RDU.

It’s been a busy year of growth for RDU, where 15 new flights will launch later this month.

The airport has recently added four new airlines, 25 new destinations, 49 new routes and set a record for passenger traffic. More airlines will be moved to Terminal 1 at a later date, according to RDU.

Passengers who have a Breeze flight scheduled on Tuesday should contact the airline directly with questions about terminal and gate assignments.
