RALEIGH, N.C. — Just a quick reminder that public shopping at the massive Kids Exchange children's consignment sale opens this week.

The consignment sale takes place at the N.C. State Fairgrounds and features gently used and new children's clothes, toys, gear and more. A look inside the sale on Friday morning showed a variety of items from cribs to car seats to high chairs.

The sale is believed to be the largest of its kind in the nation and has roughly 500 tables worth of items for sale. Organizers expect to see 30,000 people there this weekend.

With so many used toys and baby products, officials advise to check the condition of the items before buying.

Here's the schedule for public shopping:

  • 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., July 15. The Kids Exchange Eve Sale is open to the public, but requires $10 advanced tickets, which you can buy online. (Admission is free for those with a military ID.)
  • 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, Friday, July 16. Admission is free.
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 17. Admission is free.
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 18. Admission is free, and many items are half off.
Shoppers will need to pre-register to shop on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can do that via Eventbrite.
