Recipe: Cookie dough dessert hummus

The Poe Center for Health Education's Cookwell Kitchen program offers this recipe for cookie dough hummus. It's full of protein and makes a filling and healthy treat!

Cookie Dough Dessert Hummus

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup nut butter
2 1/2 tablespoons honey or agave
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Splash of milk

Mini chocolate chips

Add the chickpeas to a food processor and blend until they are finely chopped. Add the nut butter, honey and cinnamon. Blend again until smooth.

Add the vanilla and milk and blend until the desired consistency. Stir in the chocolate chips and refrigerate.

Serve with apple slices.
