Triangle Town Center has a new event planned for Halloween this year. Trick or Treat at the Mall is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at the north Raleigh mall off Capital Boulevard.

The afternoon includes mall-wide trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting led by some Star Wars and Frozen characters, balloon making, games, contests and other activities. Mall shops also are planning some special sales.

The mall got a new owner this summer after a foreclosure auction. The new owners hope to turn Triangle Town Center into a gathering spot again.

"We believe in community," says André Ivanchuk, director of marketing and retailer partnerships. "And we understand the importance and see the value in having a positive impact in the region. Through family-based programming, fun events and community engagements, we hope to create a true Town Center, a destination, an integral part of the community —a third place."
