1. Make mom breakfast

Start off Mother's Day with a homemade breakfast! Make sure to let mom sleep in and surprise her with one of these tasty recipes:

2. Make mom some thumbprint flowers

This quick and easy craft is great for young and older children. It's a great alternative to regular flowers since this bouquet never had to be watered and can easily be bent back into shape if it starts to droop!

The historic rose garden is at 2703 Everett Ave., Raleigh, near Cameron Village.

3. Take her to a local garden

Take mom for a visit to a local garden like the Raleigh Rose Garden. Flowers are in bloom and it is a great time of year to explore!
