Raleigh police arrest ninth suspect in murder

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested a ninth person Wednesday in the slaying of a man whose body was found in a southeast Raleigh subdivision.

The body of Robert George Gagnon Jr., 28, was found Saturday at 5600 Bringle Court in a subdivision off Poole Road. A neighbor reported hearing sounds of a scuffle in the home during the night, police said.

Michael Jordan McDuffie, 21, was arrested Wednesday morning, according to Jim Sughrue, public information officer for the Raleigh Police Department. He was arrested at the home of one of his acquaintances. McDuffie was to be transported to the Wake County Jail.

McDuffie was charged Tuesday with murder in Gagnon's death.

Bravette Devon Chrisp, 18, Marcus Pierre Davon Johnson, 21, and Darrell Jerome Lavine, 19, are also charged with murder in Gagnon's death.

Zachary Delarente Colmore, 17, Ebony Monique Johnson, 18, Louis Johnson III, 21, Joshua Lee Locus, 20, and Murad Terrell Taylor, 21, are charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

Police haven't released information about the cause of Gagnon's death or the killers' motive.

The case remains under investigation.
