Malls to sell advance State Fair tickets

Raleigh, N.C. — Five central North Carolina malls will have advance tickets to the 2009 North Carolina State Fair for sale, beginning Oct. 1.
Admission tickets and ride sheets will be on sale through Oct. 15 at Burlington Square Mall in Burlington, University Mall in Chapel Hill, Northgate Mall in Durham, Triangle Town Center in Raleigh and Wilson Mall in Wilson. Each mall location will accept cash, Visa and MasterCard payments for the tickets.
Advance tickets also will be available at the North Carolin Museum of History in downtown Raleigh, at Gate 9 of the State Fairgrounds off Trinity Road and at the State Farmers Market.
Advance admission tickets cost $5 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-12, with sheets of ride coupons going for $10. Fairgoers can save $2 per adult ticket and $8 on ride coupons by buying them ahead of time, officials said.
