Multiple sexual assaults reported at party at NCSU apartment

— Three incidents of sexual assault at North Carolina State University were reported to campus police on Sunday.

Officials said the three incidents allegedly took place on Friday at Wolf Village, one of the university's on-campus housing options. Wolf Village is located at the intersection of Western Boulevard and Gorman Street at 2730 Wolf Village Way.

All three incidents are alleged to have been committed at a party by male students who the female students knew. The incidents are under investigation.

Hannah Schrader, who lives in the Wolf Village apartments, said she is upset by the news of the assaults but appreciates the fact that the public is being made aware of the incidents.

"I think that universities are better about expressing that it's happening because there have been different documentaries that have come out about it and universities are required to post and say this happened and that's awesome," she said.

Anyone with information should call the NCSU Police Department at 919-515-3000.

Agreed. There's a lot more to this story than meets the eye. Always is.

Because almost all victims of violence KNOW their attackers.

While I'm not saying that anonymous stranger jumping out and sexually assaulting a woman doesn't happen, it's just not the norm.

Think back to all the rape accusations levied against priests....those weren't strangers.

Considering how "sexual assault," charges have played out lately, it is wise for everyone to withhold judgment, and not grab their pitchforks and torches in wild speculation.

"How can it be an assault when they knew each other ? "

Seriously, Mr. Tucker? If I am an acquaintance of yours and deliberately beat the begees out of you, then you have not been assaulted? Seriously?

What seems odd to me is that university students of any gender don't see the strong possibility of this kind of assault coming when they mix booze with campus parties. The history of college life is rife with it.

So it can't be assault if they know each other? Since when?

How can it be an assault when they knew each other ? All 3 were assaulted, seems odd and the truth hasn't come out totally yet. If the girls are looking for fame and fortune, they're barking up the wrong tree.
