MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — Wayne County deputies on Tuesday charged a 29-year-old man in connection with a December double homicide at a home in Mount Olive.

Kevin Raiford, of 101 Kornegay Drive, Dudley, is charged with two counts of murder in the death of Jamaal Anthony Kornegay and Nakiea Felicia Garner, who were shot to death Dec. 3 inside a home on Old Mount Olive Highway.

A third victim, Tre Stokes, had a gunshot wound to his thigh, and a fourth victim, Leonard Darden, fled the scene during the shooting, authorities said.

Deputies found him a few blocks away with a gunshot wound to his arm. Stokes and Darden were treated at Wayne County Memorial Hospital.

Raiford was in the Wayne County jail Thursday under no bond.
