Authorities make arrest in 2009 Durham shooting

Posted October 3, 2012

— Durham police on Tuesday arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the 2009 murder of a man who was killed inside a vehicle near the intersection of West Piedmont Avenue and Fargo Street.

Marshall Maurice Frazier, of Crowell Street, faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of 25-year-old Thomas Spruill, who was killed June 4, 2009.

According to authorities, Frazier shot Spruill around 1:49 a.m. in the 1000 block of Fargo Street. Investigators did not believe the shooting was a random act.

In addition to the murder charge, Frazier was also charged with two counts each of possession of cocaine with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver, sale of cocaine, delivery of cocaine, and maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for the sale or delivery of controlled substances.

Frazier was in the Durham County jail Wednesday morning without bond.

Yep and someone at some point probably thought that they could make him something to be proud of. What a waste of time. Take him out back and save the tax payers some money for a change.
