WRAL-TV's Monica Laliberte will have a special report at 6 p.m., Wednesday, on WRAL-TV that covers the school nurse shortage in our public schools.

"Students may need medical attention while at school, but in many instances they are not being assisted by professionally trained nurses," Laliberte shares.

She's heard from one mom, who was concerned after a school book keeper gave her kindergartner another student's prescription medication, and a front office receptionist, who is concerned about staff being responsible for student medical needs. Monica shares more on her blog post. Tune in to WRAL-TV at 6 p.m., Wednesday, for more.
