RALEIGH, N.C. — We have some great ideas on how to spend this July 4th weekend!
City of Raleigh's July 4th fireworks (Carter Finley Stadium Parking Lots, Raleigh) - The City of Raleigh's annual July Fourth fireworks will be held around PNC Arena and Carter-Finley Stadium area. Free parking to view the fireworks will be available within PNC Arena lots, Carter-Finley Stadium lots and North Carolina State Fairgrounds along Trinity Road. Fireworks will be launched from property owned by North Carolina State University along Trinity Road, which is adjacent to Carter-Finley Stadium. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with the fireworks display set to happen around 9:30 p.m.
EnoFest (West Point on the Eno, 5101 N Roxboro Rd, Durham, NC, Durham) - EnoFest returns this year for in-person events on July 3 and 4 at West Point on the Eno City Park. There will be live music, food and drink, art, vendors and performances. Tickets are still available.
Independence Day Celebration at Durham Bulls (Durham Bulls Athletic Park, 409 Blackwell St., Durham) - Celebrate July 4th with the Durham Bulls and Durham Parks and Recreation Department. The baseball game starts at 6:05 p.m. with fireworks to follow. Gates will open for general admission at the end of the 7th inning based on availability for those that would like to view the fireworks show from inside the ballpark. Please note, viewing areas are limited outside of the ballpark so getting a ticket to the game is the best option to ensure a spot to see the fireworks. The Bulls will also have fireworks following Friday and Saturday night's games.
Durham Summer Wine and Food Festival (Durham) - This new four-day festival kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday in Durham. Tickets are $97 for the weekend and $52 for a single Friday or Saturday pass. Ticketholders get 20 percent off at participating restaurants, plus access to craft beer and wine pairing menus and tasting events. Ticketholders also get access to see Chatham County Line at Motorco Music Hall Friday and Saturday nights. Things wrap up on Sunday with Durham Summer's Official Bloody Blues & BBQ Brunch at the Blue Note Grill.
