Wake County library book sale this week

The sale takes place at the N.C. State Fairgrounds from Thursday to Sunday.

Wake County Library Book Sale returns to the Fairgrounds

It takes place at the N.C. State Fairgrounds' Exposition Center in Raleigh. Hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday.

Here's the price structure over the four-day sale:

  • Prices start out on Thursday at $4 for hardbound books, $2 for paperbacks and $2 for children's books.
  • On Friday, you can buy one book, get one free at those prices.
  • On Saturday, the BOGO deal returns - but prices are slashed in half - $2 for hardbound books and $1 for paperbacks and children's books.
  • On Sunday, you can take home a box of books for $3.

Boxes will be available while supplies last. There also will be daily door prices. The sale will accept cash, checks and major credit cards.
