DURHAM, N.C. — Brigs at the Park was closed Friday after a car plowed through the front of the Durham restaurant, injuring one person.
A driver in the parking lot outside the restaurant, at 4900 N.C. Highway 55, accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes and careened into the eatery, authorities said.
A female customer was hit by the car and was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that authorities said didn't appear to be life-threatening.
The driver was not injured.
Brigs' owner said he’s not sure when the restaurant will reopen.
