Tweetsie Christmas: Tickets on sale now for holiday event at Tweetsie Railroad

BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — It's been just about a week since lots of people did - and didn't - get tickets for Pullen Park's Holiday Express. But, as I wrote last week, there are so many other great holiday events in North Carolina. And here is another one.

Tickets for Tweetsie Railroad's Tweetsie Christmas are now on sale.

This is the second year for Tweetsie Christmas, which runs on select dates from Nov. 23 to Dec. 29. Tickets are $38. Tweetside Railroad is in Blowing Rock, about three hours from the Triangle.

Among the attractions, visitors can:

Step into a snow globe filled with swirling (synthetic) snow,
Visit with Santa Claus,
Enjoy s’mores over an outdoor fire pit,
Take a night-time train ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains on dazzlingly lit tracks.
