RALEIGH, N.C. — More than half of car seats aren't installed correctly, and that can put kids in danger on a daily basis. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that 59% of car seats aren't in place properly.

To support parents, Safe Kids Wake County will be providing free car seat inspections and installation help with a certified child passenger safety technician this month.

They'll be at the Triangle Town Center parking lot near Chili's from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 21.

Call 919-539-9751 for more information or to schedule an appointment. But walk-ins also are welcome. A Facebook event page has more information as well.
