A quick post to share that it's Watermelon Day at the Raleigh Farmers Market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
This one is always fun, with a contest for the largest watermelon, along with free watermelon slices, recipes and a visit from the North Carolina watermelon queen. Click here for details.
The market is at 1201 Agriculture St. off Lake Wheeler Road.
