Three Bears Acres, outdoor play center, opens for 2019 season Thursday

This outdoor spot features 50 acres of opportunities for free play for kids. There's a jumping pillow, mud kitchen, giant sledding hill, playhouses up in the trees and much more. I'd say it's great for toddlers to grade schoolers.

Just a quick note to share that Three Bears Acres in northern Wake County will open this weekend for the 2019 season.

It all begins at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 28.

This outdoor spot features 50 acres of opportunities for free play for kids. There's a jumping pillow, mud kitchen, giant sledding hill, playhouses up in the trees and much more. I'd say it's great for toddlers to grade schoolers.

The spot also hosts field trips, birthday parties and more. There's a concession stand open during the weekends if you want to stay the entire day (and picnics also are welcome).

Admission is $8 for adults and $15 for kids. Ages 2 and under are free. On Thursdays, kids ages 3 to 5 are $12 and one parent gets in free with a paying child.

More information is on Three Bears' website.

It's at 711 Beaver Dam Rd., Creedmoor.
