RALEIGH, N.C. — NC State's popular College of Veterinary Medicine open house returns Saturday with a full slate of family-friendly activities.

The free event runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 30, at the college off Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. Registration is not required.

During the event, visitors can tour the college's hospital, labs and grounds; visit with chicks, cows, horses, pigs and other animals; and check out a variety of events. Those events include demonstrations from the State Bureau of Investigation's K9 unit, the American Kennel Club, Morrisville's K9 unit and more.

Much more information is on NC State's website, including parking information, which is important as the event can get very busy. This one is really great for all ages - from itty bitty kids who just love animals to teenagers who are considering a career in animal science. (The college, however, does request that you leave your pets at home.)
