Spring Blooms: Mark Mother's Day with a trip to the Raleigh Rose Garden
Our next stop on our tour of local gardens in honor of Mother's Day is the Raleigh Rose Garden.
Posted — UpdatedDedicated in 1951, the garden is open to the public daily at no charge and is on the campus of the Raleigh Little Theatre.
It's not huge, but it includes 60 rose beds with everything from miniatures and antique roses to giant blooms with countless petals.
You'll find all kinds of colors ...
And you'll find all kinds of spaces. There's a small decorative pool; a short arbor that kids love running through; and big open spaces with some shade that are perfect for picnics.
Raleigh Little Theatre plans to host more activities in the rose garden in the coming months.
The Raleigh Rose Garden is at 2703 Everett Ave., Raleigh.
