Baker's latest setback troubling

It just doesn't sound good for Toney Baker.

That thought is running through my mind after NC State coach Tom O'Brien announced Baker's surgery to "clear some things up in his knee."

It's certainly not the kind of news you want to hear about a running back who (for all intents and purposes) just missed an entire season with a torn knee ligament.

Baker played part of only one game in 2007 before suffering his season-ending knee injury. Now, nearly a year later, things still aren't right.

O'Brien gave no timetable for Baker's return, saying only: :"He's on the shelf." So, hopefully this is only a minor setback.

But after what happened in 2007, any complication in Baker's recovery process has to make you wonder.
