RALEIGH, N.C. — A heads up if you plan on going to Pullen Park this week: The carousel will be closed.
Pullen's historic carousel will be closed from Monday, May 20, to Friday, May 24, for planned semi-annual maintenance, according to a city press release.
If your kid is hankering for a carousel ride, you can head just two miles down Western Boulevard to Chavis Memorial Park for a spin on its historic carousel.
All tickets from Pullen Park, which are $1.50 each, are valid at Chavis Park. The southeast Raleigh park is getting a major overhaul right now, but the carousel remains open.
Chavis is at 505 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Raleigh.
