Police: Men broke into NC State sorority house, stole snacks

North Carolina State University police were searching Wednesday for two men who reportedly broke into a sorority home overnight.

RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State University police were searching Wednesday for two men who reportedly broke into a sorority home overnight.

According to an alert issued by the school, campus police received a report of the robbery around 3 a.m. They were told that two men who appeared to be college students entered the Kappa Delta House along 2304 Greek Village Drive and stole "several snack food items."

Sorority staff confronted the men before they could steal other items.

Both men were described as average build. One was wearing a lime green shirt, and the other was wearing a white T-shirt. Both were wearing shorts.

Students were reminded to keep doors and windows locked and to not open doors for strangers.
