RALEIGH, N.C. — As calendar at PNC Arena begins filling up again, the venue is looking to hire hundreds of part-time staff members.

A hiring event will be held Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for more than 400 open part-time positions, including bartenders, catering service, concession stand leaders, cooks and more.

The pay ranges from $10.50 to $20 an hour, and employees are allowed to accept tips from guests.

Several full-time positions are also open, including production/event coordinator, merchandise distribution coordinator, concessions lead cook and concessions supervisor.

Most jobs require applicants 18 or older, but there are some positions available for teenagers as young as 16.

Employees will be required to wear face masks on the job while guests are encouraged to wear them.

Don Waddell, the general manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, said PNC has been getting by but that employees are critical to their success.

In addition to the ongoing Canes games, several shows are already planned, including Guns N' Roses (Sept. 29), Alabama (Oct. 7) and Michael Bublé (Oct. 26).
