North Hills to open 50-year time capsule Thursday
Fifty years ago, as part of the opening of the former Cardinal Movie Theater at what is now the Lassiter District of North Hills, local businesses and students placed items in a time capsule and buried it.

Fifty years ago, as part of the opening of the former Cardinal Movie Theater at what is now the Lassiter District of North Hills, local businesses and students placed items in a time capsule and buried it.
On Thursday, it's time to dig it up and see what's inside.
WRAL.com's Out & About section has more details about the special event that's at 10 a.m., Thursday, to unearth it. The ceremony is free, but people are asked to RSVP. It will take place outside of Bonefish Grill.
