Fewer Raleigh Employers Plan To Hire New Employees Soon

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — New jobs in Raleigh look sparse this spring. A survey out shows only 7 percent of Raleigh employers plan to hire in the coming months.

That number is down from 13 percent last quarter and 43 percent last year. North Carolina is also way off the national average -- 30 percent of surveyed companies plan to open up new jobs. The good news is that only 3 percent plan cutbacks, compared to 17 percent this time last year.
