'Click It Or Ticket ' Inspects Durham Drivers

Posted Updated

DURHAM — Police are out in full force, protecting you from getting hurt.

Officers stopped dozens of drivers in Durham Friday to check for seat belt and car seat violations, as part of the "Click It or Ticket" campaign.

Anyone not buckled in was fined $25.

In the eight years since it began, North Carolina estimates the campaign has cut fatal and serious injuries 14 percent.
