Man Arrested In Harnett Shooting That Left One Dead, One Injured

HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — Harnett County authorities have charged a man with murder and attempted murder for a shooting that left one person dead and injured another person.

Investigators said 30-year-old Timothy Maurice Wicker shot two men on

Johnsonville School Road

in Cameron at about 1:15 a.m. Friday. The victims were taken to Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.

One victim, 25-year-old Anthony Dontae Tomlinson, died at the hospital. Carlos Tomlinson, 24, was treated and released from the hospital.

In addition to the murder and attempted murder charges, Wicker also has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is being held in the Harnett County Jail with a secured bond of $250,000.

There is no word yet about what led to the shooting.
